An intensive training program on the topic of the development of digital and green business models has been organized for startups that are green and digitally oriented. The entire program is part of the “University Green Digital HUB”, which brings together three universities: the University of Split, the University of Malaga, and the University of Stuttgart, along with three partner organizations from Croatia, Germany, and the Netherlands (Entrepreneurship Center Split, Impact HUB Stuttgart, Preneurz.Amsterdam).
The training program consists of two components. Participants had the opportunity to take part in virtual lectures held by project partners during which they got to know each other, work together on their ideas, and prepare for the intensive training week in Split.
In their online sessions, participants covered topics such as digital skills needed for entrepreneurship, green and sustainable entrepreneurship, business idea validation, prototyping, and early traction.
This week, all students came to Split to develop and prepare their projects for presentation at the international university startup competition STup! 2023. Throughout the week, they attended various educational sessions conducted by industry experts and project partners. At the end of the week, they will pitch at the STup! 2023 competition, where we will find out who will be awarded the title of ‘Best University Startup 2023’.
The purpose of the program is to strengthen initiatives and skills focused on innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development among students. Additionally, the program’s activities encourage the participation of young people as active citizens in the community and the development of green oriented student entrepreneurial ideas.
