The ninth edition of the Student Entrepreneurship Academy (SPA), organized by the Student Entrepreneurship Incubator (SPI) through the innovative Greenpreneur program, has successfully concluded. This year’s academy took place from March 8 to May 24, 2024, with the central theme focusing on supporting sustainable green and digital startups.
The Student Entrepreneurship Academy was not limited to a local context; concurrently, it was held at the Universities of Stuttgart, Germany, and Malaga, Spain. This international approach enabled students from Croatia, Germany, and Spain to exchange ideas, collaborate, and work under the mentorship of experts from various parts of Europe.
Startups from the University of Split presented their ideas at the SPI Demo Day in front of a panel of judges, where the project SignVox, an AI system for translating sign language into speech and written text, was awarded the best project. SignVox also secured a direct placement at the international university competition STup! 2024.
SPA continues to grow each year, offering more opportunities for young talents eager to enter the world of entrepreneurship. Through the Greenpreneur program, the Student Entrepreneurship Incubator and the University Green Digital HUB continue to support innovative ideas and young entrepreneurs who are building a sustainable future.
