The Entrepreneurship Center Split together with the Student Entrepreneurship Incubator of the Faculty of Economics in Split, as part of the “Student digital HUB” project , prepared a new set of workshops and trainings for students and young people.
April brings us a new topic of the month – “Introduction to programming and programming languages” . The development of digital technology is radically changing the world around us, from communication, our workplaces to smart systems in our households and communities. Activities and tasks that we used to perform routinely are now being automated using technology. The EU commission lists programming as a skill for today’s digital literacy.
Therefore, we bring you 10 workshops from the world of programming and programming languages:
- 8.4. at 4 p.m., “Strategic approach to using WordPress CMS” in which Ivica Delić, director of the Studio Zona company, will give an overview of WordPress as a CMS, the basic prerequisites for using WordPress, the most important elements and knowledge that must be mastered for using, maintaining and creating pages and a knowledge base for learning WordPress.

- 13.4. at 6 p.m., “WordPress: page performance and optimization”
- 15.4. at 6 p.m “WordPress: site protection”
- 19.4. at 6 p.m., “WordPress: Search Engine Optimization #1”
- 21.4. at 6 p.m., “WordPress: Search Engine Optimization #2” in which Zdravko Blagdan, a pioneer in the world of programming, will introduce participants to the more advanced part of using the WordPress system in creating their own websites.
- 20.4. at 17:00 h, “HTML & CSS & JavaScript vol1”
- 22.4. at 17:00 h, “HTML & CSS & JavaScript vol2”
- 27.4. at 17:00 h, “HTML & CSS & JavaScript vol3” in which Diana Šperanda and Mario Brižić, freelance programmers, provide an overview of three programming languages that are normally used in common sense and work. After the first three workshops, participants should be able to create a simple website themselves, which would be the basis for further learning and development.
- 29.4. at 17:00 h, “Microsoft SQL Server database” in which Diana Šperanda and Mario Brižić, freelance programmers, give an insight into the language for executing commands and managing the database
All trainings are held online via the Zoom platform.
All participants who complete training in a specific area will receive a certificate of participation in the form of a digitally signed credential in accordance with the EU Action Plan for Digital Education (2021-2027).
