The Student Entrepreneurship Incubator of the Faculty of Economics in Split has opened applications for a new generation of participants in the academic year 2022/2023. Through the program ‘Student Business Academy,’ participants will develop their entrepreneurial ideas and skills.

All students with entrepreneurial ideas or projects, young novice entrepreneurs, and startups up to two years old are welcome. With our assistance, you can take your first entrepreneurial steps independently or as a team, regardless of your previous education and professional orientation.

The ‘Student Business Academy’ program consists of 10 weeks of workshops during which participants will attend lectures by international experts from the business world. With their help, students will gain knowledge and independently create a business model, analyze and explore target markets, and develop marketing strategies. To further facilitate our participants, we emphasize acquiring skills necessary for successful sales and introduce them to various financing methods. Finally, the most successful participants will meet with foreign investors and present their product. Throughout the program, students will have the support of mentors from the faculty and industry, as well as participate in various networking events.

According to the Regulation on the Recognition of Extracurricular Activities at the University of Split, students can receive ECTS credits for successfully completing the program.

The incubator provides students with a technically equipped co-working space where they can develop their innovations. Upon completion of the program, students become members of a large and active community of entrepreneurial students and have the opportunity to attend and participate in various events, receive support and preparation for national and international startup competitions. Throughout the program, informal gatherings are organized, during which today’s successful entrepreneurs present their first business steps, providing an excellent opportunity for networking.

In addition to the above, the Student Entrepreneurship Incubator organizes numerous events and conferences, including STup! (International University Startup Competition), Get in the Ring (competition for the most innovative entrepreneurs with a prize fund of 300 thousand kuna and a trip to the world finals), Global Entrepreneurship Week (World Entrepreneurship Week celebrated every year in the third week of November), Smart City Challenge (a hackathon in the field of smart technologies organized in collaboration with the City of Split), Hack4Split (a social hackathon aiming to find solutions for the progress of our local community).
