The Student Business Incubator for students of the University of Split was opened at the Faculty of Economics in Split. It was designed after five generations of successfully held Entrepreneurial Academies of the Faculty of Economics, a six-week program for University students that introduces young people to the business world through education on entrepreneurship and practical work on ideas and teaches them how to create a successful business plan. The Faculty of Economics in Split started the idea for the Incubator so that students would have the opportunity to develop their business models throughout the academic year, not only during the duration of the Entrepreneurship Academy program. The target groups are students and graduates, some of whom already have their own entrepreneurial ideas defined. Through various educations and workshops, SPI will provide students with an insight into the process of realizing an entrepreneurial idea and help in the areas of marketing, finance and management. The total value of the project is HRK 302,450.00. The project was financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund within the Operational Program Human Resources Development 2007-2013, with HRK 288,047.61.
Applications for the first group of SPI participants are currently open and will last until December 20, 2015. All interested students can apply here .
Students who pass the selection process based on the applications received, go to an individual assessment and an orientation interview, after which they begin business education with their colleagues. All members will be provided with mentoring support through the SPi platform during and after the development of their business models.
You can follow information about future activities on our SPI Facebook page and on the website .
