KPN, the telecommunications and ICT giant from Rotterdam, is one of the “most aggressive” companies in the Netherlands when it comes to investing in startups. KPN’s model is to find promising startups, incubate them, and then grow them in such a way as to turn them into independent companies. Investments range from €500,000 to €1,500,000 and the investment areas are IoT, mobile security, digital health and cloud.

Silicon Vikings – Finland Competition

The Finnish competition is part of the Silicon Vikings series of competitions that take place in Scandinavia and the Baltics. Silicon Vikings connects startups with the Silicon Valley agglomeration as a source of capital. OurCrowd Global Investor Summit
Location: Jerusalem, Israel

Israel can be said to be a startup nation bursting with talent and technology. This Summit is reputed to be “a must-attend event of the global startup ecosystem”. It differs from other tech events because it is organized by the crowdfunding group OurCrowd, which is backed by 25,000 investors from more than 112 countries and has invested more than $750,000,000 in more than 150 different companies and funds.
