As part of the ActiveST project, in October, we continue with a series of education sessions on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We will host various experts from the private sector, public sector, and non-profit organizations who will showcase, through their projects and activities, how they contribute and how we all can contribute to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals within the areas in which they operate. The aim of the education series is to familiarize young people with ways in which entrepreneurship and social engagement can contribute to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, encouraging them to actively participate as citizens and contribute to solving local community issues.
In October, three education sessions are planned:
1) Within Goal 13 – Climate Action, on October 27 at 6:00 PM, Zvonimir Jukić from UniCompoST will conduct an education session on the topic “Developing solutions for waste management and the circular economy in the function of sustainable development.”
2) Within Goal 14 – Life Below Water, on October 26 at 6:00 PM, Kristina Odžak from Oceanus will conduct an education session on the topic “SeaID and the preservation of the aquatic world.”
3) Within Goal 15 – Life on Land, on October 20 at 5:00 PM, Josip Popčević from Cornute will conduct an education session on the topic “Solitary bees as an advanced solution for orchard and garden pollination.”
The workshops will be held online via the Zoom platform. All registered participants will receive links to the education sessions one day before they take place. Registration is done through the following link: [link to the registration form].
All participants who complete all the workshops in this series will receive a Europass certificate of participation.
The education sessions are part of the “ActiveST” project, co-financed by the Central State Office for Demography and Youth.
