At the Faculty of Economics, a lecture was held for students called “Speaking with Impact” yesterday. The lecture was given by Peter Hopwood , an experienced trainer of presentation and communication skills and the founder of Hopwood Communications. He mostly focused his activities on speakers and entrepreneurs whom he helps to develop and perfect speaking skills in front of cameras and audiences.
He decided to transfer a part of his experience to the students and told the gathered students how to be a professional in public speaking, what is the role and importance of body language during public speaking, how to attract and keep the audience’s attention and much more. And judging by the students’ reactions during and after the lecture, it tells us how interesting and useful the lecture was for them, which also indicates a greater need for such lectures during the academic year.
