On Monday, May 28, at the Faculty of Economics in Split, the finale of the Student Business Incubator (SPI) program was held, which was successfully completed by the third generation of participants.
Within this program, participants acquired business planning skills in the field of marketing, management and finance, as well as risk assessment when starting a new business. The practical part of the program represents work in teams or independently on the creation of a business plan necessary for opening an entrepreneurial venture, with the application of acquired theoretical knowledge and the support of a mentor.
The Student Entrepreneurship Incubator is intended for all proactive and enterprising young people, and works with the aim of promoting youth entrepreneurship and increasing the success of their entrepreneurial ventures. This also addresses the problem of high youth unemployment and lack of information and/or inability to self-employment.
In this generation, the program successfully completed 6 projects. The projects covered various spheres including social entrepreneurship, software development, hardware development, production modernization, smart city solutions, etc.
The projects were presented before the Expert Committee, whose composition was: Marko Maljković (co-owner of the company Locastic ), Pero Bolotin (Director of the Department for Business with Medium and Large Enterprises South, Splitska banka ), Ela Žižić (Authorized Head of the Department for Economy, Crafts and Tourism, City of Split ), Vesna Ivić-Šimetin (Director of the HUP Regional Office Split) and Damir Čarić (assistant to the head of the Administrative Department for Economy, EU Funds and Agriculture, Split-Dalmatia County ).
The Expert Committee declared the EazyOil project developed by Duje Roje, Matko Đipalo, Filip Krišto, Josip Balić and Ana Goleš as the best project. EazyOil is a new automatic payment system by recognizing the vehicle registration number, intended for gas stations.
The dean of the Faculty of Economics in Split , Maja Fredotović , presented them with a prize of HRK 5,000.00 for the further development of their project.
Special mention should be made of the Sunward and Little Happiness Factory projects that they won 2. and 3rd Place. Sunward presented a smart locker for beaches, and the project was developed by Marko Štetner, Tomi Tudor and Tin Doždor . Small factory of happiness presented a virtual stock market for association products, and the project was developed by Ivan Bačelić-Grgić, Danijela Spahija and Doris Nazor .
