SPI members presented their entrepreneurial projects at the final of the Student Business Academy program
At the beginning of June, in the premises of the Faculty of Economics in Split, the final of the Student Business Academy program was held, which was successfully completed by the second group of students admitted to the Student Business Incubator this academic year.
Within this program, students acquire concrete entrepreneurial planning skills in the areas of marketing, management and finance, as well as risk assessment when starting a new business. The practical part of the program includes team work on creating a relevant business plan for opening a new business venture, in real circumstances with the application of acquired theoretical knowledge.
In the final, the teams presented their projects in front of the Expert Committee, which was composed of: Ana Pašiček (HBOR lending sector); Pen Bolotin, Director of the Department for Business with Medium and Large Enterprises South, Sector for Corporate Banking and Markets (Societe Generale – Splitska Banka dd); Vesna Ivić-Šimetin (Director of the Regional Office of HUP Split); Zlatan Morić, Service for Economy, Tourism, International and European Funds (City of Split); Anđelko Katavić, Temporary Head of the Administrative Department for Economy, EU Funds and Agriculture (Split-Dalmatia County) and Toni Trivković (head of the association Startup.hr).
For the best project, the expert committee chose the Loccol project by students Goran Bikić, Mislav Mostarc, Matej Bašić, Ivan Pejić and Davor Ljubenkov. Vice Dean Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Maja Fredotović from the Faculty of Economics presented them with an award - a fund of HRK 5,000 for the further development of their project in the Student Business Incubator.
