The Student Business Incubator<\/b> of the Faculty of Economics in Split is opening applications for a new generation of participants in<\/span> the academic year 2021\/2022.<\/b>. which will through the program <\/span>“Student Business Academy”<\/b> to develop and test their entrepreneurial ideas and models.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Students with an entrepreneurial idea or project, young entrepreneurs and startups up to 2 years old can apply. You can apply individually or as a team, regardless of your education and professional orientation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The “Student Business Academy” program lasts<\/span> 6 months<\/b> during which participants work with mentors from academia and industry. Through the program, students acquire knowledge about the creation of business models, market analysis and research, the creation of a marketing strategy, the technical and technological organization of business, the creation of financial models and projections, they learn how to present their project in front of investors, and at the end they create a business plan that is the basis for applying for various measures for self-employment and starting a business. Education is led by university professors and experts from the real economy, and during the program focus meetings are held with a group of mentors from the industry through the concept of “speed date consulting”. Also, the formed teams, according to their field of work, are joined by individual mentors who monitor their work and development through consultations.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The incubator provides students with<\/span> a technically equipped co-working space<\/b> for work in which they can develop their innovations. They also have the opportunity to attend various events, have support and preparation for national and international student competitions and participate in international competitions and conferences. During the entire program, informal get-togethers are often organized as part of which today’s successful entrepreneurs present their first business steps, which is also an excellent opportunity for networking.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the above, the Student Business Incubator is the organizer of<\/span> numerous events and conferences,<\/b> among which stand out STup! (international university startup competition), Get in the Ring (competition of the most innovative entrepreneurs with a prize fund of HRK 300,000 and a trip to the world finals), Global Entrepreneurship Week (Global Entrepreneurship Week, which is celebrated every year in the third week of November, Smart City Challenge ( hackathon in the field of smart technologies organized in cooperation with the City of Split), Hack4Split (a social hackathon whose goal is to find solutions for the progress of our local community).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
